Peyton, an adorable 7-year-old little girl, is the daughter of Brad and Sandra Belew. She lives and goes to school in DeSoto where she was recently Student of the Month. While Peyton loves just about everything to do with school, she will readily admit that reading and math are her favorites. At only six-years-old, she already knows all of her letters and their sounds, and she can even identify more than ten sight words. In math, Peyton excels at addition, which she likes to do using pictures. She also knows her colors and 2D and 3D shapes. Because Peyton is diagnosed with Down syndrome, some people may believe it is hard for her to do the things she does, but they would be wrong. She is a determined little girl who never gives up, even when things are a little difficult.
When Peyton isn’t at school, she loves to play with friends, watch movies, listen to music, and most of all, she loves to play with her dog Cash. All of Peyton’s friends and family say how caring she is and how she is always trying to look out for her friends. Her kindness is always shining through, and those around her love her for it.
